Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
Lageto ("Lageto", "we", "us") is operated by Supportefy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Lageto mobile app, the admin and veterinary web dashboards, and the website lageto.pet, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Lageto you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and authentication details when you sign up with email/password, Google, or phone number (handled through Google Firebase Authentication).
Pet information: pet names, photos, species, breed, color, gender, microchip ID, and lost/found status that you add.
Location data: GPS coordinates and a derived area name when you report a lost or found pet, update your location, or choose to send your location to a finder. We store a coarse geohash to power nearby alerts.
Messages: the content and images of chat messages you send to other users through the app.
Device and usage data: push-notification tokens (FCM), device identifiers, and app version, used to deliver notifications and operate the service.
Scan events: when someone scans a pet’s public tag or visits a public pet profile, we log the event (time, the pet involved, approximate location only if the visitor chooses to share it). Visitor IP addresses are hashed, not stored in raw form.
2. How we use your information
To provide and operate the service: create and manage your account, register pets and microchips, and run the lost-and-found and pet-recovery features.
To match lost and found pets and send you location-based alerts and push notifications about activity relevant to you.
To let someone who finds a pet reach its owner, through the emergency contact numbers the owner chose to publish for that pet.
For safety, fraud prevention, security, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Public pet profiles and owner contact
Each registered pet has a public profile page (for example, lageto.pet/pet/LGT-000123) that anyone who scans the pet’s tag can view. The page shows pet information and the owner’s display name only if the owner has enabled display consent.
Your email address and your home location are never shown on the public profile, and neither is the phone number on your account.
The emergency contact numbers you publish for a pet are different. While that pet is marked as lost, those numbers are shown on its public profile so that whoever finds your pet can call or message you straight away, which is the point of marking a pet lost. They stop being shown once the pet is no longer marked lost. Publishing them is your choice and you can remove them at any time.
4. How we share information
Your account, your pets, your messages, and the photos you upload are stored on servers that Supportefy operates and are served from api.lageto.pet. The database, the application logic behind the app and the dashboards, and every uploaded file live there.
A small number of third-party providers sit alongside that: Google Firebase for sign-in and for push notifications to your device, and LocationIQ to turn coordinates into an area name. Someone who reaches you through a published emergency number does so by phone call or WhatsApp from their own device.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the service, to comply with the law, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
5. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account from within the app, which marks your account as deleted. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
6. Your choices and rights
You can access and update your account information in the app, turn push notifications off in your device settings, withdraw display consent for your pet’s public profile, and delete your account.
To request access to or deletion of your data, contact us at info@supportefy.com.
7. Children
Lageto is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
We protect your information using encryption in transit, access controls, server-side authorization checks, and IP hashing for scan events. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of Lageto after changes means you accept the updated policy.
10. Contact us
